Damstahl publishing 3rd book: Surface Treatment of Stainless Steel - Corrosion and Cleanability With this book, Damstahl completes the trilogy with focus on the most essential challenges and problems within the field of stainless steel – this time with special focus on surface treatment. The book is based on the fact that a wrong and inadequate, or non-optimised, surface treatment may cause corrosion problems which may lead to costly breakdowns and extended repair periods. Surface treatment is also essential for the cleanability, which is of greatest importance to avoid bacterial problems, which may cause anything from curable stomach infections to fatalities. The series of illustrations and analyses in the book are based on thorough laboratory tests and are supplemented by practical experience from ”the world of reality”. The authors are critical towards and suggest alternatives to otherwise acknowledged standards for evaluating surface roughness. Especially the “classic” Ra is critisised. With effect from November 1st, 2016 NEUMO has launched an internal idea-pool. By this instrument, all emloyees at NEUMO get the chance to bring in their own ideas to improve, change and relief the daily work life at NEUMO. 140 years NEUMO In total the 5 colleagues are proudly looking back on 140 years seniority... On September 9th, Wolf Ehrenberg (Managing Director, 1st from left) and Carola Staib (chairwoman of works comittee, 1st from right) have congratulated our colleagues, celebrating their 25th and 40th anniversary. Wolf Ehrenberg thanked with a review on the company development of the last decades and expressed gratitudes for the successful and trustful teamwork and handed over the official deeds from the local chamber of commerce along with a present for the anniversary. Miguel Guerra disbanded into retirement after 39 years at NEUMO
On July 26th we had to say goodbye to our long-term employee and colleague, Mr. Miguel Guerra, who has left into retirement after 39 years at NEUMO. Miguel Guerra has been employed in different departments for the long time of 39 years. He has started in exhibition and booth construction, followed by different other respnsibilities, at last he was working in our aseptic warehouse. Also 2 of his younger brothers are still employed by NEUMO. We wish Miguel Guerra all the best and a lots of health for his new period of life. New sales organisation effective from January 1st, 2014
NEUMO‘s market position can only be held by providing technological innovations and high performing products and services in our German home market as well as all over the world. Design, development and distribution of our patented and innovative products require an even stronger customer orientation, excellent technological consultancy and stringent logistic solutions for our customers. Meanwhile markets outside of Europe and countries far away have become important market places for our products. The necessity of direct contacts with customers over there is a daily challenge containing a lot of specific requirements and personal devotion. NEUMO is facing up to these changes and challenges with a new structure of our Sales Organisation starting from January, 1st of 2014: Our long-term General Sales Manager, Mr. Harry Jost, will take over additional responsibility as a deputy managing director. He will continue his activities in our sales organisation with a strong focus on key account management related to technologically orientated customers and projects based on his excellent technical expertise and experience. At the same time Mr. Jost will hand over his position as Sales Director “Flow Components” including all responsibility for this sales division to our long-term colleague Mr. Matthias Dörr. We are proud and happy to give managing responsibility to an earlier apprentice of NEUMO who has received all his practical business education and experience inside of NEUMO. After finishing apprentice time in NEUMO Mr. Dörr has been working in export sales for the last 11 years gaining a lot of different experiences. In 2009 he has been installed as Area Sales Manager Asia where he substantially influenced and actively promoted the growing and successful NEUMO presence in our important Asian markets. Aside of his daily work and duty Mr. Dörr - supported by our company - has passed specific studies in business schools and thereby got qualified for his new position.
